BMW is all but decided on bringing a new diesel variant of its stately 7-Series large ultra-luxury sedan to the United States, according to a report from Car and Driver. The
oil-burning 7-Series will reportedly use a modified version of the
3.0-liter turbodiesel engine currently seeing duty in the X5 xDrive35d, likely tuned to make 308 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque when applied to the big, classy 7.
